T\u00e4nu rattas\u00f5idule saavad lapsed parema koordinatsiooni ja tasakaalu ning rohkem liikumisvabadust. Mille j\u00e4rgi aga lapsele jalgratas valida? \u201eRatas tuleb valida vastavalt lapse kasvule. \u00d5ige rattasuuruse tunneb \u00e4ra selle j\u00e4rgi, kui mugavalt laps end s\u00f5ites tunneb. Laias laastus v\u00f5ib \u00f6elda, et 12\u2033 rattasuurusega jalgratas sobib 2-4-aastastele, 16\u2033 suurusega 4-6-aastastele, 20\u2033 suurusega 6-8-aastastele ja 24\u2033 rattasuurusega ratas 9-12-aastastele,\u201c r\u00e4\u00e4gib Kert. Ta soovitab lapsele s\u00f5iduvahendi osta v\u00e4ikese kasvuvaruga, kuid sellega ei tohi liiale minna. \u201eMuidu v\u00f5ib juhtuda, et laps peab enne rattaga mugavalt s\u00f5itmist selle vanemate arvestatud \u201evaru\u201c t\u00e4is kasvama.\u201c Valikut tehes on \u00fcheks faktoriks ka lapse s\u00f5iduoskus. Mida parem on s\u00f5iduoskus, seda julgemalt v\u00f5ib arvestada ka ratta \u201ekasvuvaru\u201c, sest osavam laps saab ka pisut suurema jalgrattaga paremini hakkama.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f5idu \u00f5ppimist alustavad pisikesed rattas\u00f5brad enamasti abiratastega jalgrattal. \u201eKuni 16\u2033 rattasuurusega lasteratastel on \u00fcldjuhul komplektis ka abirattad, mida saab lihtsa vaevaga eemaldada. Samas ei tohiks sellega kiirustada, sest muidu on \u00f5nnetused kerged tulema ja tagaj\u00e4rjeks v\u00f5ib olla hirm s\u00f5idu ees. Ei maksa v\u00f5tta liiga suure v\u00f5i v\u00e4ikese raamiga ratast. Kui ise ei tea, milline suurus on \u00f5ige, siis on m\u00f5istlik n\u00f5u k\u00fcsida kaupluse teenindajatelt, kes suudavad \u00fcldjuhul \u00f5ige raamisuuruse kindlaks teha juba inimesele peale vaadates.<\/p>\n<p>Teiseks oluliseks k\u00fcsimuseks on, kus ja mis eesm\u00e4rgil inimene rattaga s\u00f5ita soovib. J\u00e4rgmise valikukriteeriumina tuleb m\u00e4ngu rattas\u00f5bra aktiivsus \u2013 mida t\u00f5sisemalt treenitakse ja pikemaid distantse l\u00e4bitakse, seda enam v\u00f5iks t\u00e4helepanu p\u00f6\u00f6rata ratta komplekteeritusele. Kui maanteeratas on ehitatud saavutamaks maksimaalset kiirust, siis maastikuratas on valmistatud silmas pidades maksimaalset l\u00e4bivust. \u201eMaanteeratta rehvid on suurema mustrita ja kitsamad, rattal puudub vedrustus ja \u00fclekanne on kiirem kui maastikurattal. Lisaks on maastiku- ja maanteeratta s\u00f5iduasend erinev. Nii nagu ei ole maanteerattaga v\u00f5imalik l\u00e4bida korralikku \u201emudarallit\u201c ei ole maastikurattaga just k\u00f5ige lihtsam saavutada kiirust 40 kilomeetrit tunnis,\u201c selgitab Kert.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>H\u00fcbriid- v\u00f5i linnaratas igap\u00e4evas\u00f5itudeks<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>H\u00fcbriid- ja linnarattad on pigem transpordivahendid liikumaks punktist A punkti B. Samas v\u00f5ib h\u00fcbriidratas olla ka sportliku elustiiliga harrastaja valik, kes kasutab k\u00fcll ratast t\u00f6\u00f6l k\u00e4imiseks, kuid tahab n\u00e4dalavahetusel kergliiklusteedel v\u00f5i metsavahel kergemat trenni teha. H\u00fcbriidratas sobib k\u00f5ige paremini k\u00f5vakattega teel s\u00f5itmiseks, aga osav rattur ei j\u00e4\u00e4 sellega h\u00e4tta ka maastikul,\u201c lausub Kert. \u201eKui v\u00f5rrelda h\u00fcbriidi linnarattaga, siis\u00a0ta erineb linnarattast peamiselt s\u00f5iduasendi, rehvim\u00f5\u00f5du ja -mustri ning vedrustuse olemasolu poolest. Linnaratas on \u00fcldjuhul p\u00fcstisema ehk mugavama s\u00f5iduasendiga, kitsama ja siledama rehviga ning sel puudub vedrustus. Kuigi kiivrit v\u00f5iksid kanda k\u00f5ik ratturid, tuleb teada, et kuni 16-eluaastani on rattakiiver kohustuslik. Kiivrit valides peaks p\u00f6\u00f6rama t\u00e4helepanu sellele, et see oleks mugav, ei pigistaks ega loksuks. Kiiver ei tohi proovides peast kukkuda ka siis, kui kinnitusrihmad lahti on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eKehtiva liiklusseaduse kohaselt on rattas\u00f5idul kohustuslikud rattakell ning esi- ja tagatuli, mis peavad pimedas v\u00f5i h\u00e4maral ajal p\u00f5lema,\u201c toob Kert esile. See on aeg, mil ratas on n-\u00f6 sisse s\u00f5idetud. Hilisem hooldus tuleks teha vastavalt vajadusele, aga kindlasti mitte harvem kui kord aastas.
